OCSPCA is a non profit organization that runs off 100% public donations, they help pet owners in need and offer low cost spay and neuter vouchers to low income and senior citizens. |

|
1st Annual dog surf contest, SurfinPaws is benefiting the Orange County
SPCA, sign up to compete(small fee) or just come down the day of the
event to watch for free! All ages and all abilities are welcome. This
event will be held at the South end of Dog Beach in Huntington Beach
CA, parking is on PCH or along streets to the east 17th to 21st are
free, PCH is metered. After event we will have a SkyBark Red Carpet
awards party at a major downtown venue down the street.
What you need to know:
- Parking, a few ideas, Park 21-17th streets is free, on pch is metered, so park further away ride a bike, or come early, just part of the fun of going to the beach!
- ONLY Foam SURFBOARDS will be permitted, bring your own, costco has them $99 or Craigslist ( we will have some loaners and life vests available for free but best to have trained your pup on there own equipment.
- ALL DOGS MUST wear Life Vests ( NO exceptions) we will have a Vet on hand for ear cleaning after your heat for free and other advice on pet care. Lido Vet Tent.
- 1 week prior to event we will have heat times listed.
- Bring Poop bags, or pick up at top of beach area when you arrive
- Please keep your dog leashed at all times NO aggressive dogs allowed!!!
- Please come early and practice if you need to just north of event and lifeguard tower 22, official event practice is 9am for 45min first heats will be at 10am.
- Check in at top of beach 1st.
- Please stop by vendor booths they will be giving out freebies.
- You must be at staging area 10min prior to your heat to listen to rules etc.
- After your heat you will be able to see how you did at placings tent(with in an hour)
- Finals will be held at end of event ( not exactly sure the time till we know how many dogs sign up
- After event awards will be held down the street towards main street at the WaterFront Hilton Pavilion wedding tent area. at the RED Carpet Gala 7:30pm Grand Champion will be awarded at that time ! along with trophies for top 3 in each weight category. ( we also have a special suprise and just becasue you didn't place top 3 doesn't mean you won't get an award) !!!
